SCUBA Diving
IN THIS LESSON
Dive 1: Buoyancy 101
Through a variety of exercises, divers are required to use specific breathing techniques and lung control to move themselves around the water column with ease and precision.
Dive 2: Coral growth form identification
Continuing work with buoyancy, learners take a safari dive to examine the corals that make up the substrate of our local reefs. Carefully identifying growth forms of scleractinian corals allows us determine the resilience of each ecosystem and potential hazards it may face.
