This one week course is packed full of hands on skills is dedicated to practical dive training and underwater exploration through a conservation lens. It’s an enriching experience for homeschoolers to begin their journey into marine conservation, as well as educational school holiday activities and adventure week fun in schools.

Learners become PADI Open Water Divers* in the first 3 days and undergo the buoyancy workshop to develop the skills a conservation diver requires. Each day runs from 6am - 3.30pm and includes soup and sweet treats between dives, as well as a sausage sizzle to re-fuel afterwards.

Each afternoon we have a group focus session. Initially the time is used to develop dive theory, and by the end of the week we delve into the ecology of coral reefs and the international ‘Coral Watch’ techniques.

Students can also choose to add on a full day of hands-on First Aid (EFR) training, with an optional VET-accredited pathway.

*students aged 12-14years will become Junior Open Water Divers
